That is the question i received today from a friend… “Is Kmart Still Alive ?”
Well the short answer is yes, by far kmart is still alive. They have made some major store cuts
but there online store is still kickin butt to be honest.
Kmart has some of the best “non brand” names for the best price.
They really excel in kids cloths and maternity clothes, here are some reviews that i have found :
“Kmart has never been a popular store but it is the #1 place where I buy my kids clothes and maternity clothes. When you have to stick to a budget, Kmart is great. The styles are down to earth and cute- none of this mink-collared knitted sweater crap. I love Kmart!”
“They have good sales sometimes. And, surprisingly stylish clothes for Kmart. Not as interested in the store if there is no sale going on. Also, wide selection of sizes for everyone. Always have sales on their jewelry… wouldn’t nescessarily look for diamonds there, though. A lot of times it is hard to tell, by the stores posted around the store, what exactly is on sale, and what is not.”
“Close to home; always well-stocked; lots of registers open to check out. No problems here!”
“Kmart is probably the stupidest name a chain could probably come up with. Oh..and then there is wal-mart! I recently bought a christmas tree on sale at Kmart. The lights on the second section kept going out. I called Kmart and within three days they shipped me a new second section (which works perfectly). The shipping alone must of cost close to what I paid for the tree. ($99) I know you could probably expect the same, if not better, service from wal-mart, but without competion we are doomed to monopoly retail.”
